7 years after ‘Logan’, Hugh Jackman will be returning to the big screen once again as Wolverine.
In a cheeky teaser released by Ryan Reynolds, Jackman accepted the offer to pick up his iron claws again for ‘Deadpool 3’.
“Hey, Hugh. You wanna play Wolverine one more time?” Reynolds asks. “Yeah. Sure, Ryan,” Jackman replied.
In the clip, Reynolds explains that they’ve been working on the film for a long time now, but that they’re fresh out of ideas on how to revive the mercenary for the MCU.
This now means that ‘Deadpool 3’ will mark the first MCU appearance for Jackman’s Wolverine in the years since Disney purchased 21st Century Fox properties and the rights to the X-Men.
Jackman and Reynolds previously squared off as Wolverine and Deadpool — albeit in a very different form — in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
The movie is scheduled for release on September 6, 2024.
