‘James Bond’ franchise directors Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson have not yet started searching for a replacement for Daniel Craig.
“We haven’t begun the hunt,” Broccoli told EW in a recent interview. “We’re going to be sort of sitting down and trying to figure out where the Bond series is going to go, and we need to do that first, to get a sense of that, before we start casting for the role. So we’ll start thinking about that sometime next year.”
Craig, who made his debut in the role in 2006’s ‘Casino Royale’, announced his exit from the role after 2021’s ‘No Time To Die’.
“I’m in denial, to be honest, about Daniel,” Broccoli said back in December. “I can’t really confront that right now.”
In the mean time, Bond fans will be able to watch all 25 Bond movies on Prime Video from the 5th of October.
According to Amazon, the 25 Bond films will only be available “for a limited time,” though it didn’t specify the period. With the exception of “No Time To Die,” the first 24 Bond films will also play “for a limited time” in markets including Germany, Sub-Saharan Africa and Brazil.
Bond’s move to Prime Video has been expected since Amazon in 2021 spent $8.5 billion to acquire MGM, the 97-year-old studio that’s been home to the Bond franchise since its inception.
