It looks like the deal between Twitter and billionaire Elon Musk is finally reaching its end.
The Tesla and SpaceX CEO took to the social media platform to share a letter addressed to advertisers. In the letter, Musk admitted that he had bought Twitter and explained the motivation behind the $44 billion purchase.
Musk began the letter saying “I wanted to reach out personally to share my motivation in acquiring Twitter. There has been much speculation about why I bought Twitter and what I think about advertising. Most of it has been wrong.”

The letter arrives amid concerns from advertisers that total free speech on the platform would create strife regarding ads. A recent report from The Wall Street Journal citing sources familiar with the matter claimed that auto advertisers were particularly concerned about potential conflicts given that Musk is also the CEO of Tesla.
However, it looks like Elon Musk is already settling in as the head of Twitter as he has already changed his bio declaring himself “Chief Twit.”
There hasn’t been any official confirmation about the acquisition from Twitter yet.
