The level of star power in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is ever rising as Harrison Ford becomes the latest confirmed addition to the Marvel world.
The 80-year-old will be taking over the role of General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross. His first appearance in the MCU is set to be the Phase 5 title, Captain America: New World Order.
Ford replaces Oscar winner, William Hurt who played General Ross from early Marvel titles like 2008s The Incredible Hulk to the more recent Black Widow. Hurt unfortunately passed away from cancer in March, aged 71.

Ford’s Thunderbolt Ross is expected to also play a major role in the upcoming Thunderbolts movie, which is currently scheduled for release on July 26, 2024 to close out Phase Five of the MCU.
Harrison Ford is a legend of the big screen, starring in franchises like Star Wars, Blade Runner and of course, Indiana Jones.
Captain America: New World Order will be directed by Julius Onah and will arrive in theaters on May 23, 2024.
