MRC has announced that it will be scrapping its Kanye West documentary over his recent antisemitic remarks.
“We cannot support any content that amplifies his platform,” MRC’s co-leaders Modi Wiczyk, Asif Satchu and Scott Tenley said in a statement.
West has been making controversial claims of alleged mistreatment by Jewish people, which he has been doubling down on in media interviews and on social media after comments first made during an interview with Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
Among other things, West posted on Twitter that he was going to go “death con 3 on Jewish people,” a play on the military alert term “Defcon.”
Law firm Brown Rudnick has also confirmed that lawyer Camille Vasquez – famous for representing Johnny Depp – is Kanye’s new lawyer.
A spokesperson for the Brown Rudnick, where Camille is a partner, told CBS News that the Donda singer will now be receiving legal counsel on a “variety of business matters” from a team of lawyers including Camille Vasquez.
