R&B singer and actor Brandy Norwood is recovering in a Los Angeles hospital after possibly suffering a seizure, according to the news site TMZ.
TMZ’s Law enforcement sources report that by noon on the 11th of October(Tuesday), they received an EMS call to Brandy’s Los Angeles home. According to other sources with direct access to the situation, it is believed the singer suffered a seizure, and she was taken to a nearby hospital.
At this time, they were informed that Brandy is still being admitted in the hospital but her parents have been there with and all signs indicate that she will come back from this minor setback.
Brandy is regarded as an icon in popular culture. Her self titled debut album sold 6 million cookies in 1993 and she has had a successful acting career, starring as the titular Moesha in the UPN show, and alongside legend Whitney Houston in a live action remake of Cinderella. Since then, she has released several multiple platinum selling albums, starred in her own reality show and in many box office hits like I Know What You Did Last Summer. More recently, she was one of leads on the ABC drama series Queens alongside rapper Eve, former 3LW meme et Naturi Naugton, and Nadine Velasquez. She also dropped a verse on rapper Jack Harlow’s hit first class which she performed with him at this year’s BET awards.
Suffice it to say that the industry and her fans are glad that she is still with us, and we hope that she makes a full recovery as soon as possible.
