Fall is here! And while you’re most likely interested in dressing appropriately for the weather, not to talk of indulging the appropriate beverages, there’s more fall-themed stuff for you to do.
For one, you can host a movie night with all your friends or you can have a chill night with yourself, watching great films that also happen to be fall related. Whichever way you chose to go, here are the best five film to watch this fall:
When Harry Met Sally
This classic rom-com starring the iconic Meg Ryan and screenplay by Nora Ephron is the perfect inspiration you need to get into the fall spirit. Not to mention, it has all the good feels and will most likely remind you of a simpler time.
Legally Blonde
Reese Witherspoon’s breakout role is a powerfully feminist take on the societal conditioning of women in academia and is full of heart. What’s more, Elle Woods is serving up some fall fashion that we could all take a cue from.
Dead Poets Society
Robin Williams’ Magnum Opus is set in a prep school where he inspires students to let go of unnecessary tradition and follow their heart. We all need a little inspiration every now and then. Why not during fall?
Autumn in New York
One of the best love stories ever told stars Winona Ryder and Richard Gere in an ill fated relationship. It’s very romantic but also a tearjerker. As for the fall part, it’s literally in the name.
Sweet November
In the romantic film industry, I think fall films are in the minority. Everyone loved a summer fling, or Christmas wedding, which is why films like Sweet November are unforgettable. It also stars Charlize Theron and Keanu Reeves so you know you’re in for a treat!
