We all know Tom Cruise is an adrenaline junkie, but now, he’s aiming to do what no other civilian has ever done.. spacewalk.
Throughout his career, we’ve watched Tom Cruise scale the Burj Khalifa, hang from a plane 1000 feet in the air, jump from buildings, fly a literal F-15 fighter jet and even jump off a 2000-foot cliff.
Now, the 60-year-old actor will “hopefully” become “the first civilian to do a spacewalk” outside of the International Space Station for a new movie according to Universal Pictures head, Donna Langley.

During an interview with the BBC, she explained that Cruise plans to take a rocket up to the International Space Station.
“Tom Cruise is taking us to space. He’s taking the world to space. That’s the plan,” she said. “We have a great project in development with Tom, that does contemplate him doing just that. Taking a rocket up to the space station and shooting and hopefully being the first civilian to do a spacewalk outside of the space station.”
Langley added that while the movie will send Cruise to space, it “actually [mostly] takes place on Earth”. However, the character would need to go up to space to save the day.
