After starring in ABC’s Grownish, Chloe Bailey has now signed on to join the cast of upcoming the Wall Street drama, Midas Touch.
This will be the pop star’s first film role and she’ll be playing an interesting role in AGC Studios’ upcoming drama.
The film will follow the true story of Lauren Simmons who at 22 became the youngest equity trader on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. Bailey will be playing Simmons who was also only the second African American woman to hold that position in the Exchange’s 228-year history.
Midas Touch will be directed by Numa Perrier, with Lauren Simmons herself serving as an executive producer, as are AGC’s Stuart Ford, Lourdes Diaz, and Glendon Palmer.
Chloe Bailey is following in her sister’s footsteps as it would seem. Hailey Bailey who is two years younger also starred on the ABC hit show Grownish and will make her film debut in a picture as high profile as it gets— Disney’s live action The Little Mermaid remake as Ariel.
