Michelle Yeoh stars as Scian, a sword-elf who is on a quest for a magical stolen blade in this upcoming prequel.
Set 1,200 years before the events of The Witcher television series, Blood Origin will depict the creation of the first Witcher. It’ll also show all the events that led to the “Conjunction of the Spheres“.
Alongside Yeoh, the series will also star Sophia Brown (The Capture) , Laurence O’Fuarain (Into the Badlands), Lenny Henry (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power), and Dylan Moran (Shaun of the Dead).
This four-part prequel series is set to premiere on Netflix on December 25.
A short synopsis from Netflix reads,
“More than a thousand years before the world of The Witcher, seven outcasts in the elven world unite in a blood quest against an unstoppable power.“
