The start date for the 2023-2024 season has been confirmed by the Premier League.
Set to kick off on the 12th of August 2023, the season will end on the 19th of May 2024 and also include a mid-season break between January 13th till 20th 2024.
“The season schedule returns to normal following the Covid-19 pandemic and the Qatar 2022 World Cup, which provided disruption during the previous three seasons,” the Premier League said.
“In keeping with commitments made to clubs this season to address the congested schedule across Christmas and New Year, no two rounds in this period will take place within 48 hours of each other.”
In addition, the start date of Saturday 12 August allows 76 days of rest for the players following the end of the 2022/23 season.
