One of the more evident effects of inflation this year in Canada has been the skyrocketing prices of rent.
There have been many reports on the declining levels of home ownership, as many people try to stay afloat amid the constantly increasing cost of living.
For most young professionals and people starting new families, two-bedroom apartments are the apartments of choice as they require more space either for a home office or their partners.
In this report, using data from real estate platform Zumper, we compare the cost of rent in 22 popular Canadian cities, ranked from the cheapest to the most expensive.
The top half is dominated expectedly by cities in Ontario and British Columbia, while New Brunswick and Saskatchewan have two cities each in the bottom 5.
