Apple have introduced Apple Music Sing, a new feature that allows users to sing along to their favorite songs with adjustable vocals and real-time lyrics.
For the lovers of Karaoke, now with Apple Music you have all that you need for that fun night in.
The Apple Music Sing feature is built into the existing lyrics feature of Apple Music that shows you the words to millions of Apple Music’s tracks. With Sing, when you access these lyrics, a small volume slider with a little microphone icon will pop up. The vocal track is isolated from the rest of the song, and with the dedicated Sing slider, its volume is adjustable. Tap and drag the volume slider all the way down so you can sing solo, or you can mix to blend the track’s vocal with your own voice however you like.

Just like every other karaoke system, the lyrics are highlighted in real time so you know when to sing along. The feature also offers a Duet view that separates the lyrics if there are multiple singers so everyone knows their part. Background vocals also are highlighted independently from the main vocal.
“Apple Music’s lyrics experience is consistently one of the most popular features on our service,” said Oliver Schusser, Apple’s vice president of Apple Music and Beats. “We already know our users all over the world love to follow along to their favorite songs, so we wanted to evolve this offering even further to enable even more engagement around music through singing. It’s really a lot of fun, our customers are going to love it.”
Apple Music Sing is accessed through the Music app and is available on the iPhone 11 and later running iOS 16.2, iPads (third-gen and later) running iPadOS 16.2, and the latest 2022 model of Apple TV 4K. Currently, Android devices with Apple Music can see lyrics but cannot access the Sing feature.
