Two years after Megan Thee Stallion publicly accused Canadian rapper Tory Lanez of shooting her in the foot, the trial is finally set to begin.
Tory denied the accusation at the time and is now facing charges of felony assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle. If convicted, the 30-year-old rapper is facing more than 22 years in prison.
He’s been under house arrest since late October ahead of his trial.
Jury selection is currently underway and opening arguments are set to begin as soon as the 12 jurors are selected.
