The NBA has restricted voting for the 2023 All-Star Game to just the NBA app and website.
Compared to last year, users will only be able to vote once a day, and there will be no voting on social media.
This comes after the Golden State Warriors’ Andrew Wiggins secured a starting berth in the 2022 All Star Game due to a massive online campaign from the team.
All-Star starters are determined through a combination of voting by fans, players and select media. Fan votes account for 50 percent of each players’ final weighted score, while player and media votes account for 25 percent each.
Voting for the 2023 All Star Game will tip off on Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 11 a.m. ET and conclude on Saturday, Jan. 21. The game will take place on Sunday, Feb. 19 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
