Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are sharing never before seen parts of their lives in an upcoming docuseries set for Netflix.
On December 1, the streamer put out an official teaser for the documentary aptly titled Harry and Meghan, with pictures taken throughout their relationship — including images of Markle looking glum at royal events — and brief footage of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s new life in California.
Netflix describes the six-episode series as an “unprecedented and in-depth” look into the “other side” of Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s love story. And as Meghan herself says in the teaser, “When the stakes are this high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?”
The teaser also shows pictures from the couple’s wedding reception, their trip to Africa and Meghan’s pregnancy. It’s not all positive moments as some of the difficulties the couple have faced are also shown in the teaser. Meghan is seen wiping away tears and the couple is shown during a tense moment at the 2020 Commonwealth Day ceremony — their last event alongside the royal family before they stepped away from their senior royal positions.
“When the stakes are this high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear the story from us?” Markle asks in the teaser.
“No one sees what’s happening behind closed doors,” Harry says in the teaser. “I had to do everything I could to protect my family.”
