A self-employed man from Brampton, Ryaan Othman, is celebrating two major lottery wins in the last two months.
Othman won the big Lotto Max prize on January 17th, just three weeks after his first win. His first win was $180,000 with Lotto Max on December 28th.
“Lotto Max is my favorite game,” Othman said as he picked up his winnings at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.
He added that he changed his mind about adding Encore to his ticket last minute, and his decision paid off.
“I checked my ticket on the OLG App and my jaw dropped. I was speechless for at least three minutes. I knew the odds of this happening were slim, but for it to happen twice is out of this world!” he exclaimed.
Othman’s girlfriend was overjoyed upon hearing the news, and cried with happiness. His winning ticket was purchased at Petro Canada on Main Street in Brampton.
