Actor Ezra Miller has pleaded guilty to trespassing in a 2022 home burglary incident where bottles of alcohol were stolen.
A Vermont homeowner had filed a complaint with police last May when they discovered several bottles of alcohol had been stolen from their home.
Surveillance footage had revealed that Miller was the culprit.
The “Justice League” star pleaded guilty to avoid jail time, and will instead pay a fine of 500 USD and be on probation for a year.
The original charges were burglary and petit larceny but they had been dropped to trespassing as part of the plea.
Vermont Superior Court Judge Kerry Ann McDonald-Cady did state that the original charges could however be filed again if Miller violated the terms of their probation.
“Ezra would like to thank the court and the community for their trust and patience throughout this process, and would once again like to acknowledge the love and support they have received from their family and friends, who continue to be a vital presence in their ongoing mental health,” a statement by their attorney Lisa Shelkrot reads.
