UFC president Dana White has announced that Kamaru Usman vs Leon Edwards will go head to head again for the third time at UFC 286 in London.
The fighters are 1-1 with Usman winning a decision over Edwards at UFC on FOX 17 in their first encounter before Edwards took the rematch at UFC 279 this past August.
Edwards, who beat Usman with a fifth-round KO to claim the welterweight title, will get the opportunity to defend his belt on home soil.
Edwards’s last loss was to Usman by decision back in 2015. After the loss, the Brit picked up notable wins over Nate Diaz, Rafael dos Anjos, Gunnar Nelson, Vicente Luque, and Donald Cerrone among others.
Kamaru Usman (20-2) had his first UFC loss when he was upset by Edwards to lose his welterweight title.
Before the setback, he was 15-0 in the UFC with five title defenses and has notable wins over Colby Covington, twice, Jorge Masvidal, twice, Tyron Woodley, Gilbert Burns, and dos Anjos among others.
UFC With UFC 286 takes place on March 18 at The O2 in London. The event airs on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
White also announced Justin Gaethje vs. Rafael Fiziev will serve as the co-main event of the pay-per-view.
